About Everything and Nothing all at once. Freedom of thought. Freedom of the Mind
A note from Ryan when forced to try to pin down what the philosophy of sourbrains.org is:
“The philosophy is that we want to be a reliable source for really neat information. We don’t do news stories, we do opinion pieces with links to news stories. Every post should have an accompanying photograph; whether you take it from the news article, or you have your own work. You can post your own original writings, musics and narratives. You can post whatever you want. It’s a free space and it’s not necessarily about who’s writing it. I want to have a big pool of talented people. I write mostly about things that make me laugh. Some other personal stuff too.
Eventually I’d like our blog to get us access to more and more information that we then use to feed the masses. I love learning, and I love to turn around and teach what I have learned. I also love to entertain. This blog allows me to do both.
I’d actually say the blog idea came to me because I would post so many different news articles, YouTube videos, and other random things to Facebook. A lot of people read the stuff I posted and a friend actually told me that with the way I posted to Facebook I should just get a blog. And boom, just like that, I got a blog and have been posting everything I used to post on Facebook onto the SourBrains site. If you read my posts, you can tell where my sources are. I grab that information and make it easily accessible to my friends on Facebook and in turn they show it to their friends on Facebook. Hence why most of our sites traffic comes from people on Facebook clicking on our links. Anything you post, I will promote, just as I encourage you to promote anything the other authors on the site post.”
